We arrived today for our 24th visit to Mexico. This trip will be for 11 nights - 7 in Cancun and 4 in Playa del Carmen.
In Cancun, we are staying at the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort. This is a beautiful place and the room is awesome. We have a fantastic view of the beach and colorful Cancun water. Just before check-in, we had lunch at El Fish Fritanga which was very good. After check-in, we had some pool time.

Later, we caught a bus (8.5 pesos or $1 US) to Plaza Americas Mall to buy groceries - for breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks. We shopped at Chedurai grocery store and it is huge with good prices. Our tab, $1199 pesos - about $90 US. With all of our groceries, we caught a cab back to the hotel ($15). So, it's easy to get around Cancun, save money and it IS safe.
